Here are some good news – SLIMTIMERSimple extension is reached that point that could be released for public. This extension is available for Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Flock and ActiveState Komodo Edit and you can download it here (here is the updated version which contains all new features marked below with line-through).

SLIMTIMERSimple currently allows only creating new task – this simplicity has one reason – I’m using it with XULRunner based SLIMTIMER‘s client which I’m always have running in background so all what I need is to add new task by simply and quickly way whatever application I use.

Here are screenshots of SLIMTIMERSimple‘s preferences dialog and new task dialog:

Here is the list of what missing:

  • auto-completing for tags and coworkers/reporters emails at new task dialog
  • start page – that will inform you how to create SLIMTIMER account (if you haven’t one) and how to use SLIMTIMERSimple extension
  • better overlays for Mozilla Thunderbird and ActiveState Komodo Edit
  • test button in preferences dialog for checking if entered login values are valid
  • test this overlay on other OSes than Linux
  • main SLIMTIMERSimple window with tasks list
  • XulRunner package (depend on window with tasks list)
  • allow to create new tasks from selected text (of web pages in Firefox/Flock or of mail message in Thunderbird)
  • XPCOM component implementing nsICommandLineHandler (that will allow to add new tasks from directly from console)
