I had serious problems with building Thunderbird on my Windows XP and because I haven’t time for sitting and solving one problem such this it took me more time than I expected. Finally I rather switch to Linux and built Thunderbird with Lightning there.

And now about current state of work: I’ve finished creating events/todos from messages. I’ve also added „From message“ column into the event/todo dialog. When you click on message URI messenger’s window will appear and appropriate message will be selected. Below are some pictures of how this dialog looks like now.

Now I’m working on tooltip with message details which will be appear when your mouse is over the message URI in the event/todo dialog and on replacing calendars tree in the Lightning sidebar by extended popupmenu which will allow to choose or add calendar as well. (Calendars tree will be replaced by new sidebar’s toolbar. Later today I will send new post with some screenhots of new sidebar’s look.) The best advantage of this is that on the sidebar will be more space then before so more events/todos will be visible at once.

Tooltip is finished:
